Flying More Friendly Skies

Silverjet, a British airline focused exclusively on business class ‘luxury’ long-haul air travel, has announced that they will begin to use RFID in an attempt to provide better service and lure customers away from their competitors.

While many airlines have recently begun to use RFID to track baggage and aircraft parts, Silverjet is looking to add a bit more of a personal touch.

The tags could also save information such as the customer’s favorite drink so we can offer it to them on arrival…the software is integrated into our reservation systems so that staff can greet people by name, call up details on previous conversations and provide a more personal service.
