Confidex, the RFID tag design and manufacturing specialist, has created an EPC Class 1 Gen 2 high performance transponder that works on metallic objects and in the most demanding conditions.
Multiple industries are converging at AIAG's third annual RFID Summit on Nov. 2, 2006, at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Mich., to underscore the importance of RFID and share their applications of the technology to achieve supply chain visibility and compliance with federal regulations, such as the TREAD Act.
RFID has the potential to streamline and improve airline baggage handling, especially in this time of heightened security measures. Trials and pilots continue, but they have not yet answered the question: when will RFID baggage handling reach a critical mass?
