Contactless Payment

Approximately 3,000 retailers located across twenty U.S. cities will be moving to contactless payment systems which will be provided by North American Bancard.

The initiative is part of NAB's Free Terminal Program, a business strategy in which NAB provides retailers free terminals that are valid for the life of the agreement it has with each merchant. Studies have shown that payments made with contactless cards are faster than those made with cash or credit cards.

To date, credit card companies have issued over 17 million contactless cards which contain a 13.5MGz chip programmed with payment information. What if your favorite store doesn’t support contactless payment? No problem, the cards also have the familiar magnetic strip on the back.
