Be careful which sweater you choose!

Sticking with the retail clothing theme of the day - this article suggests that terrorists will soon arm landmines to blow up when a victim prances by wearing their favorite Wal-Mart sweater. Heck, they might even selectively blow people up according to the color of their sweater. Man, I knew I shouldn’t have bought the green one!!!

Not to fear, The RFID Guardian is here. The Guardian Project protects the tags of its owner from unknown, possibly hostile RFID readers. However, it does not interfere with communication between readers and tags it does not consider its own.

The ISO standard prescribes a protocol to deal with collisions. The reader switches to the 16-slot inventory procedure, also called "Slotted Aloha". Each round in a 16-slot inventory has 16 slots, and the intention is that different tags reply in different slots.
