Royal Mail Has Royal Problems

Here's a link to a feature about the UK's Royal Mail that will astound you for its statistics about the service's astonishing ability to lose, damage, tamper with, and delay mail. They're hoping RFID might help, but I think that may be asking the technololgy to fix a lot of issues that range beyond its reach. Consider this:
Last year more than 14 million letters were lost, stolen, damaged or tampered with, and more than seven per cent of mail was not delivered on time.
In 2001, while living for a while in Windsor, the post office there closed in the afternoon for tea time. Cheers.
