A Florida Barcode Caper

A scuffle with a security guard, a few hours in jail, an alleged threat made to a woman and backed up by an ax, a few more days in jail, two felony charges in two days, and an investigation by state and federal authorities... It's been a busy week for Arthur Vanwinkle of Bradenton.
And all because a loss-prevention employee at Lowe's in Manatee County said he saw Vanwinkle steal two circuit breakers, return them for a credit, switch barcodes on an expensive welding machine, and buy the welder with $49.97 from the two credits
.

Think that's interesting? The story, available here, and courtesy of The Bradenton Herald continues and just gets better and better. Ooops, I mean worse and worse.
