This story published yesterday in the Gulf Times is about a company in Qatar called Mowasalat that is building its own residential complex to accomodate 5,000 people. In this case, this mini-town is being built with a view to providing comfortable accommodation to its staff, most of them drivers. That's not news really. But this is:

As part of adding more facilities to its hub at Abu Hamour, Mowasalat has opened a fuel station, which is operated by Woqod. It has 21 fuel dispensers and 42 filling points. The fuel station has nine underground tanks, each with a capacity of 55,000 litres. "This capacity makes it the largest in Qatar." The station is fully automated and equipped with radio frequency ID (RFID) technology to monitor vehicle fuel consumption. Currently, 600 taxis are equipped with RFID console and additional 1,400 taxis and buses will be fitted with such consoles within the year.
