Six Women Researchers, RFID, and The Ladybag Purse

This is a picture of a stylish, expensive lady's handbag. But how valuable is it to anyone if, when you finally reach the office, you discover your office keys aren't in it? They are on the kitchen counter at home, right next to the wallet you forgot as well...

Introducing the Ladybag... Here’s a concept dreamed up by six women researchers at Canada’s Simon Fraser University: the Ladybag purse uses RFID technology to keep you from forgetting anything. Put RFID tags on your keys, wallet, sunglasses, or anything else you don’t want to forget, and if you leave something behind, various icons on the outside of the bag light up...

The news item does note that the Ladybag handbag is hideous (my word, not theirs). At the link above you can go take a look for yourself.
