FORE Goodness Sake, It's Happening Already!

Just puttering around a little birdie told me of this news about an interesting implementation of RFID and golf balls at driving ranges. There are already several of these places in the UK and now one has come to the DC area.

TopGolf is not a virtual range or anything like that; it just uses golf balls embedded with RFID chips to track your distance and accuracy. You just need to hit it into of the 10 ’scoring zones’. TopGolf is also a game - you score points based on those factors.
