IBM's Posted Response to RFID Cat Virus and Other Nonsense

Here's how, apparently on behalf of IBM, celebrated technlogy writer Larry Loeb opens his piece debunking a bunch of recent stories about RFID:

Is it true that Fido's RFID chip could shut down the Las Vegas airport?

Then he answers his own question:

Sure it is -- if you believe everything you read in the news.

He then goes on at some length to not only challenge the whole premise but to potentially uncover their motive... they want to make a solution to the problem that isn't a problem unless people swallow this hype whole.
