First The RFID Cat Virus and Now This!

Internet mood swings? You've got to be kidding me. Now from the same part of the world from which came news of mews-carrying RFID viruses, comes this report:

Three Dutch researchers claim they can gauge the mood of the Internet by monitoring millions of blogs with a program called MoodViews.

I think these Dutch Masters may have rolled something new into their cigars?

Caution: The Following is not rated PG. I didn't write this... I'm just reporting here--

Each day, MoodViews reviews 150,000 blog entries for target words and LiveJournal mood indicator tags, then categorize them into one or more of 30 to 40 different moods, ranging from "cranky" and "confused" to "horny" and "hopeful."
