You Still Have The Right To Remain Silent, But Now The Badge Speaks For Itself

RFID technology and metal haven't been known to co-exist real well. But now, as you can read about in this piece, V.H. Blackinton & Co. Inc. has developed a badge for law enforcement and government agencies with an embedded radio frequency identification (RFID) chip.
As the article notes, metal reflects RFID signals. But in this application, at least, Blackington & Co. have solved that problem... but they're not saying how. "Telling you the specifics would be a bit like giving you the formula for Coca Cola," said John Domurad, director of research and development at Blackinton.
Not talking, eh? Perhaps if people badger him long enough, he'll give it up?
