Israeli Army Finds New Defense Mechanism: RFID

The Israeli military will be the second outside the U.S. to adopt RFID technology to manage its supplies. That's from this recent news story in InformationWeek.

Ironically, the technology won't be implented initially to protect the country from external threats but from thieves within: Gradual introduction of RFID tags will initially seek to halt the siphoning of fuel by soldiers.
