A 'Symbol' of Big Trouble

Symbol Technologies Inc said yesterday it had replaced its chief technology officer and that several other executives were leaving the company.
There's the understatement of the year! Holy Cow. Go to this whole article for the complete roster of departees. But I like the very last line the very best:
"With these changes, I believe we are well on our way to achieving our goal of having the best possible leadership team," said Iannuzzi, in a statement.
By Iannuzzi, of course, they are referring to Symbol CEO Sal Iannuzzi. We wish no ill will for Symbol, and we take no position on the Symbol/Intermec spat... we don't know the facts. What is of concern are the people and careers that seem to be moving around faster than live cats in a burlap bag. In brief, let's see what Mr. Ianuzzi means by 'we are well on our way...'
Symbol Technologies Inc said yesterday it had replaced its chief technology officer...
Symbol also said several key executives had "chosen to pursue career interests outside of Symbol," including general counsel Peter Lieb, (and?) SVP of corporate development Todd Hewlin...
The company... saw its former CFO Mark Greenquist leave last July...
Yesterday, Symbol also said John Bruno, SVP and general manager of its RFID division, would leave to be replaced by Anthony Bartolo...
My suggestion for Mr. Bruno, keep that resume spiffed up and handy. This is looking like a rearrangement of the deck chairs on the Titanic.
