I'll Have an RFID Card Sandwich to Go, Please

Think this RFID thing is a passing fad? Confident, are you, that consumers eiter don't get it or won't adapt? Maybe not you, but a lot of the anti-everything crazies out there think if they picket enough libraries, perhaps, they can stop the madness. Well, madness has a way of making progress on its own and few recent articles I've seen point to the near certain inevitability of RFID consumer acceptance than this one.

It's about a solution to the problem consumers will have, do have, if they carry two RFID cards in their wallet: one for boarding a train, for example, and one for fast retail checkout. The solution? They call it the FluxPass. Crummy name, but a good idea:

FromWest will soon release their product called FluxPass that separates two overlapping RFID cards. For example, if you have an RFID train pass and an RFID credit card in your wallet, neither of them may not be read because they affect with each other's electromagnetic fields. But if you put a FluxPass in between and make a sandwich, both of the cards will work...
