RFID for Potted Plants, Refrigerators and Other Visions

Here, thanks to physorg.com comes a a long article about RFID vision, that's almost equally as long on Philips promotion, too... but nevertheless has some way out concepts for RFID I hadn't imagined. If you're a futurist, you may want to read the whole thing. If not, here's a couple of sentences to contemplate:

A digital camera can show pictures on your TV screen simply by being placed next to it. A fridge knows what's in it and what has to be eaten today or thrown away. A plant pot knows what species is growing in it, and how much light and water it needs.

I figured green would be appropriate for that excerpt, it being about potted plants.
